Like French cuisine, the French mobile still has considerable cachet. Louis XIV, Regence, Directoire, Restoration: French furniture styles through the centuries have stood the test of time, yet their elegance and beauty in homes today bear, as antiques antique reproductions.

The development of the furniture is a part of French history. Indeed, besides, is the history of France.

Many years ago I did a course in Earth Sciences. Of course, wewas a textbook. The reading and assignments from the school library, which houses many books on the subject.
